What drew you to BMK?

I was working on a story on my school’s job fair, and saw your booth. At that time, I had no idea what marketing firms did – had no idea of the amount of creativity required to successfully handle client projects – but the way you explained it not only helped me understand it, but also made me want to do it. I went home, checked out the website, was impressed by the quality of the company’s online presentation, and decided to apply.

Talk about the client work you’ve done since you’ve joined the team.

So far, I’ve had to create client commercials – animation, graphics, and text, Chroma keying, minor compositing – in order to maintain consistent branding. I’ve also done some work on flyers and brochures, as well as researched equipment that we will be using on client projects, going forward.

What has your overall experience at BMK been like?

This is my very first internship, and I can say that it is the complete opposite of what I’ve always heard about interning with a company – that the interns are glorified errand boys and errand girls who fetch coffee and make copies, and don’t get any “real” job experience. I’m actually getting to do work that’s immediately applicable to what I’d be expected to do in an actual job, and I’m also learning a lot more than I would have learned, on my own.

What do you do for fun?

Photography, music producing, DJing. I’m also about to get into filmmaking. I’m also a coffee and tea enthusiast. I love to cook, and I love to eat.

Thank you, Kei for sharing your experiences at BMK! We’re glad to have you aboard!
